From a first question to a first lesson

Learning starts with a conversation.

Find out what happens at each step, whether you are looking for help or sharing what you know.

For students

Find the right kind of support.

  1. Find a tutor or class

Browse subjects, read tutor introductions and compare formats and rates. A tutor’s hourly rate and a class’s listed price may differ; check the details before requesting a place.

  2. Create an account and verify your email

You can browse without an account. To message a tutor or request a class, create an account and open the verification email.

  3. Agree the details

Send an inquiry about your goals and availability, or request a listed class. A class request is not confirmed until the tutor accepts it.

  4. Prepare for your lesson

Confirmed class bookings show meeting or location details when the tutor adds them. Pay the tutor directly using the instructions they provide.

  5. Share your experience

After a booked lesson, confirm completion and leave feedback from the booking page.

Find a tutor

For tutors

Turn your knowledge into someone’s progress.

  1. Introduce your teaching

Create an account, verify your email and add your subjects, lesson formats, rate and introduction. A clear photo helps students recognise you.

  2. Submit your profile for review

Save a draft while you work. Submit when ready; we will email you the decision or feedback on changes needed.

  3. Make yourself available

Approved profiles can be listed free during early access. No subscription or card is required. Reply to inquiries in your inbox and publish lessons when you are ready.

  4. Manage your bookings

Accept class requests, add access details and send payment instructions. Students pay you directly. Mark payment received only after you check it yourself.

Useful to know

A few clear answers.

What does profile approval mean?

A profile has been reviewed for listing. Email verification confirms access to an inbox. Neither is a verification of identity, qualifications or suitability. Discuss your needs and ask the tutor about relevant experience before booking.

Does Hledám učitele take lesson payments?

No. Students pay tutors directly. Payment sent and received markers are declarations by the student and tutor; the site does not verify bank transfers.

Where do online lessons take place?

Tutors provide an external meeting link. For confirmed class bookings, check the access details on your booking page. The site does not provide an embedded video classroom.

Can I learn and teach with one account?

Yes. Your tutor tools and student bookings are separate sections of the same account.

What if I need to change or cancel a lesson?

Message your tutor as soon as possible to agree the next step and any payment arrangements. Tutors manage booking statuses; there is no automatic rescheduling or refund service.
